Our timeless function spaces stay true to our federation heritage, adding a unique charm to every event here at the Greengate Hotel. Located upstairs from the main dining area, our event spaces offer four unique rooms designed to accommodate a variety of events, from corporate gatherings and private dining to lively cocktail parties.

Our venue is versatile, catering to intimate groups of five to grand celebrations of up to 300 guests. We can host sit-down dinners and standing cocktail parties, with both indoor and outdoor options.

There are five separate birthday venue spaces available at the Greengate Hotel.

  • The Terrace Room & Verandah has space for up to 70 standing guests or up to 24 seated
  • The Private Bar & Balcony has space for up to 70 standing guests or up to 32 seated
  • The Heritage Terrace Room has space for up to 100 standing guests or up to 40 seated
  • The Atrium terrace has space for up to 120 standing guests or up to 80 seated
  • The Boardroom is a small dining area suitable for up to 12 seated guests

Our smallest space is ideal for up to 12 seated guests for a birthday party, whereas our largest single space is the Atrium, which can welcome up to 120 guests for a cocktail-style event, or 80 seated.

If you would like to invite even more friends and family, you can combine the Heritage Terrace Room with the Atrium for up to 120 seated guests, or over 200 standing.

The costs of a birthday party venue hire at the Greengate Hotel vary depending on the space. Note that beverage and catering options are charged separately to the venue hire cost.

Yes! Most birthday venues are indoor, but the Terrace Room has its own Verandah, the Private Bar space has a balcony, the Atrium is entirely outdoors, and you can combine the Heritage Terrace Room with the Atrium to add that airy vibe to your birthday party in Sydney.

The beverage packages are by the hour and include standard and premium options. As for food, you can opt for canapes, grazing stations, or sit down meals. Absolutely! Our smallest venue space is the Boardroom, which is ideal for a seated meal for up to 12 guests. Our second smallest space is the Terrace Room & Verandah, which offers space for up to 24 seated guests.

You’ll find the Greengate Hotel located on the corner of Pacific Highway and Greengate Road in Killara. There are just a handful of parking spaces on site, but plenty more on the streets surrounding the hotel, as well as paid parking options.
