The Greengate Hotel is a beloved local pub on the North Shore, an a gorgeous location for a wedding. This historic building cuts an impressive outline, with dreamy red brick facades and romantic arches perfect for scenic wedding photos.
Choose from one of our four Function Spaces, such as the elegant Heritage Terrace Room. This bright space is an ideal indoor wedding venue, as it allows plenty of light into the room and ensures a beautiful backdrop to your day no matter the weather outside.
You can also enquire about combining spaces to better suit your needs. For example, The Heritage Terrace Room and Atrium can easily be combined, so you can enjoy a ceremony and reception drinks outdoors in the fresh air, followed by an elegant dinner inside.
The Terrace Room & Verandah also offer a beautiful backdrop for saying “I Do” with a smaller, more intimate group.

How many guests can the Greengate Hotel accommodate for a wedding?
Each wedding venue space has different capacity limits:
- Terrace Room & Verandah: Up to 70 guests cocktail style, up to 24 seated
- Private Bar & Balcony: Up to 80 standing, up to 32 seated
- Heritage Terrace Room: Up to 100 standing, up to 40 seated
- The Atrium: Up to 120 standing, up to 80 seated
Boardroom: Up to 12 seated
One option is to combine the Heritage Terrace Room for a large space that allows for more than 100 seated guests, or over 200 standing. Alternatively, you can reserve the entire Greengate Hotel for a huge celebrations with all your friends and family.

Yes! There are both indoor and outdoor wedding reception options at the Greengate Hotel. Most the Terrace Room has a small verandah, the Private Bar has its own balcony, and the Atrium is entirely outdoors (and can be combined with the Heritage Terrace Room for a reception space that offers indoor and outdoor areas).
What catering and beverage options does the Greengate Hotel provide for weddings?
The Greengate Hotel offers numerous catering and beverage options for weddings and wedding receptions, depending on your needs. There are canapes, two- and three-course meals, a four-course shared-style menu, as well as grazing station options.
Beverage packages are set by the hour and include standard and premium options.
